As individuals, with children and aging parents, who face many of the same issues as our clients, we are well aware of the needs of today’s young families and the concerns of the elderly, both from a personal perspective as well as a legal one.

Yale S. Hauptman is a graduate of Rutgers College (B.A. 1986) and Albany Law School (J.D. 1989).  He served for a year as law clerk to the Honorable John C. Stritehoff of the Superior Court of New Jersey and has been in private practice since 1990, as the founding member of Hauptman and Hauptman since 1995.
Yale is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the New Jersey Bar Association’s Elder Law Section.  He devotes most of his time to the practice of elder law and estate planning for young families. He is a frequent author and lecturer on topics in both areas.

 
Ms. Hauptman earned her B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1986. She attended Hofstra University Law School in Hempstead, New York and received her Juris Doctor in 1989.

From 1989 until 1997, she was an associate attorney concentrating most of her work in the area of insurance defense litigation.In 1997 Laurie joined her husband’s private practice to form Hauptman & Hauptman, P.C.  She is responsible for handling the firm’s personal injury and general litigation work.Ms. Hauptman is an active member of her community in both civic and religious organizations.She is licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.
